Varanasi Police Seize 150 Quintals of Illegal Fireworks After Blast

Following a recent explosion caused by illegal fireworks manufacturing, Varanasi police have intensified their crackdown, seizing approximately 150 quintals of illegal fireworks and related chemicals across Kotwali, Cantt, and Lohta areas. In Kotwali, 120 quintals were found in a warehouse, while Cantt police seized 30 quintals of finished crackers from a house. Lohta police also recovered illegal crackers and gunpowder. The operation was launched after an earlier incident where a house manufacturing fireworks exploded, injuring several family members. The arrested manufacturer faces charges under the Explosives Act.

अवैध पटाखों के निर्माण के कारण हुए हालिया विस्फोट के बाद, वाराणसी पुलिस ने कोटवा, कैंट और लोहटा इलाकों में लगभग 150 क्विंटल अवैध पटाखे और संबंधित रसायन जब्त कर अपनी कार्रवाई तेज कर दी है। कोटवा में, एक गोदाम से 120 क्विंटल जब्त किए गए, जबकि कैंट पुलिस ने एक घर से 30 क्विंटल तैयार पटाखे जब्त किए। लोहटा पुलिस ने भी अवैध पटाखे और बारूद बरामद किए। यह अभियान पहले हुई उस घटना के बाद शुरू किया गया था जिसमें पटाखे बना रहे एक घर में विस्फोट हो गया था, जिसमें परिवार के कई सदस्य घायल हो गए थे। गिरफ्तार निर्माता पर विस्फोटक अधिनियम के तहत आरोप लगाए गए हैं।
