An Arizona appeals court has overturned the 10-year sentence of a road rage killer, Gabriel Paul Horcasitas, because an AI-generated video of the victim was shown in court. The victim's family created the video using his photos and voice recordings to present a message of forgiveness. The court ruled that the AI clip, which depicted the victim's imagined thoughts, improperly influenced the sentencing. Horcasitas, 55, will now be resentenced, as the AI video was deemed to have "crossed that line" by the appeals court.
