Telangana BJP Agent Booked For Filing False Voter Deletion Applications

An FIR has been registered against a BJP Booth Level Agent (BLA) in Telangana for allegedly filing "false" Form-7 applications to remove 30 voters from the electoral rolls. This marks the first such case in the state during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision. The FIR was filed at Chikkadapally Police Station following a complaint by an election official, invoking provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Representation of the People Act.
