China has reportedly inducted its new DF-61 road-mobile intercontinental ballistic missile into the People’s Liberation Army Rocket Force. The missile, first unveiled in September 2025, is now undergoing routine training, including mobility and launch drills, according to Chinese state media. Its road-mobile design is intended to make China's nuclear forces more difficult to track and target. Beijing has not disclosed specific deployment numbers, range, or warhead details for the DF-61.
