India's women's cricket team declined to receive the Women's Asia Cup trophy from ACC president Mohsin Naqvi. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia stated this was a show of solidarity with the men's team, which took a similar stance after winning the Asia Cup last year. Saikia explained that due to ongoing military conflict and political tensions, they could not accept the trophy from a leader perceived as working against national interests.

भारतीय महिला क्रिकेट टीम ने ACC अध्यक्ष मोहसिन नकवी से वुमेंस एशिया कप की ट्रॉफी लेने से मना कर दिया। BCCI सचिव देवजीत सैकिया ने बताया कि यह पुरुष टीम के साथ एकजुटता दिखाने के लिए था, जिन्होंने पिछले साल एशिया कप जीतने के बाद ऐसा ही किया था। सैकिया ने कहा कि मौजूदा सैन्य संघर्ष और राजनीतिक तनाव के कारण, वे ऐसे नेता से ट्रॉफी स्वीकार नहीं कर सकते थे जो राष्ट्रीय हितों के खिलाफ काम कर रहा हो।
