Jharkhand Congress Seeks 30-Day Extension For Voter Roll Hearings

The Jharkhand Congress has urged the Election Commission to extend the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls by 30 days. The party cited backlogs, delays in document issuance, and technical glitches in voter verification as reasons for the request. Currently, the hearing process is set to conclude on November 23, with final rolls due November 30. Congress highlighted that over 19 lakh cases remain pending and many eligible voters face difficulties obtaining necessary certificates.

झारखंड कांग्रेस ने चुनाव आयोग से मतदाता सूची के विशेष गहन संशोधन (SIR) को 30 दिनों के लिए बढ़ाने का आग्रह किया है। पार्टी ने इस अनुरोध के कारणों के रूप में बैकलॉग, दस्तावेज़ जारी करने में देरी और मतदाता सत्यापन में तकनीकी गड़बड़ियों का हवाला दिया। वर्तमान में, सुनवाई प्रक्रिया 23 नवंबर को समाप्त होने वाली है, और अंतिम सूची 30 नवंबर को जारी होनी है। कांग्रेस ने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि 19 लाख से अधिक मामले लंबित हैं और कई योग्य मतदाताओं को आवश्यक प्रमाण पत्र प्राप्त करने में कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।
