High Bond Yields and Oil Prices Cause Asian Stock Markets to Decline

Asian stock markets experienced a mixed trading session, with Hong Kong and Japan seeing significant drops. The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong fell by nearly 3% to 23,900 points, its lowest in 11 weeks. Japan's Nikkei 225 also declined by about 0.9%. Investors remained cautious ahead of US jobs data, with rising bond yields and Brent crude oil prices above $102 per barrel adding to concerns. South Korea and Thailand, however, saw modest gains. The Indian stock market was closed for Gandhi Jayanti.
