Congress to Replace Punjab Chief Warring; Vijay Inder Singla Frontrunner for Post

The Congress high command has decided to replace Amrinder Singh Raja Warring as president of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC). This decision comes less than five months before the assembly elections and two months after Warring was retained in the post. Organizational feedback gathered by Punjab affairs in-charge Sachin Pilot reportedly led to the change. Vijay Inder Singla is considered the frontrunner to replace Warring, with the party seeking a leader who can unite different factions.

कांग्रेस हाईकमान ने पंजाब प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी (PPCC) के अध्यक्ष अमरिंदर सिंह राजा वडिंग को बदलने का फैसला किया है। यह फैसला विधानसभा चुनावों से ठीक पांच महीने पहले और वडिंग को पद पर बनाए रखने के दो महीने बाद आया है। पंजाब मामलों के प्रभारी सचिन पायलट द्वारा जुटाई गई संगठनात्मक प्रतिक्रिया के कारण यह बदलाव होने की बात कही जा रही है। विजय इंदर सिंगला को वडिंग के उत्तराधिकारी के तौर पर सबसे आगे माना जा रहा है, क्योंकि पार्टी एक ऐसे नेता की तलाश में है जो विभिन्न गुटों को एकजुट कर सके।
