Zoho CEO Urges NRIs to Return to India, Then Asks Them to Pray for Company
Times of India · business
Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu faced criticism for urging Indian tech workers to return to India after the US suspended Green Card processing, only to later announce his own company would not give employee appraisals this year. Vembu attributed the decision to AI costs and a challenging geopolitical backdrop, stating the business outlook for software is uncertain. He asked employees to pray for the company's reinvention over the next 3-5 years. Vembu defended his stance, questioning the alternative if countries ask Indians to leave.
