Officials from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) have conducted a drone survey of an irrigation tank in Malappambadi village, near Tiruvannamalai. This survey is part of an investigation into allegations of illegal sand mining linked to former PWD and Highways Minister E.V. Velu. The operation, coordinated with the Revenue Department and police, aims to assess the extent of damage to the water body.

तिरुवन्नामलाई के पास मलापाम्बाडी गांव में एक सिंचाई टैंक का ड्रोन सर्वे डायरेक्टरेट ऑफ विजिलेंस एंड एंटी-करप्शन (DVAC) के अधिकारियों ने किया है। यह सर्वे पूर्व पीडब्ल्यूडी और राजमार्ग मंत्री ई.वी. वेलू से जुड़े अवैध रेत खनन के आरोपों की जांच का हिस्सा है। राजस्व विभाग और पुलिस के साथ मिलकर किए गए इस ऑपरेशन का मकसद जल निकाय को हुए नुकसान का आकलन करना है।
