India to Build 8 New Next-Gen Corvettes For Navy

India's naval strength is set to significantly increase with the Ministry of Defence signing a contract for eight next-generation corvettes. The Rs 53,866.50 crore deal has been awarded to Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) and GSL. GRSE will build five corvettes, while GSL will construct the remaining three. These advanced warships, designed by the Indian Navy, will be equipped with modern missile and sensor systems to counter air, surface, and underwater threats, enhancing maritime security and operational capabilities.

भारत की नौसैनिक ताकत में आठ अगली पीढ़ी की कोरवेट के लिए अनुबंध पर हस्ताक्षर के साथ काफी वृद्धि होने वाली है। 53,866.50 करोड़ रुपये का यह सौदा Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) और GSL को दिया गया है। GRSE पांच कोरवेट बनाएगा, जबकि GSL शेष तीन का निर्माण करेगा। भारतीय नौसेना द्वारा डिजाइन किए गए ये उन्नत युद्धपोत, हवाई, सतह और पानी के नीचे के खतरों का मुकाबला करने के लिए आधुनिक मिसाइल और सेंसर सिस्टम से लैस होंगे, जिससे समुद्री सुरक्षा और परिचालन क्षमताओं में वृद्धि होगी।
