IIT Bombay Professor Suspended Amid Student Suicide Row

IIT Bombay professor Suryanarayana Doolla has been suspended following the death of student Sahil Wakode. Wakode, 20, allegedly used a mobile phone during an exam and uploaded the question paper to an AI platform. Doolla, the course instructor and invigilator, reported the malpractice. Wakode's family alleged harassment and caste discrimination, leading to a police case naming Doolla. Students protested, demanding his suspension, which IIT Bombay granted on September 20.

आईआईटी बॉम्बे के प्रोफेसर सूर्य नारायण डोला को छात्र साहिल वाकोडे की मौत के बाद निलंबित कर दिया गया है। वाकोडे, जो 20 साल का था, पर परीक्षा के दौरान मोबाइल का इस्तेमाल कर प्रश्न पत्र AI प्लेटफॉर्म पर अपलोड करने का आरोप है। प्रोफेसर डोला ने ही इस गड़बड़ी की रिपोर्ट की थी। वाकोडे के परिवार ने उत्पीड़न और जातिगत भेदभाव का आरोप लगाया, जिसके बाद प्रोफेसर डोला के खिलाफ पुलिस केस दर्ज हुआ।
