MobiKwik Secures RBI NBFC License, Plans Operations Within Six Months

MobiKwik's subsidiary, MobiKwik Financial Services Pvt Ltd, has received a Certificate of Registration from the RBI to operate as a non-banking financial company (NBFC). The company plans to commence operations within three to six months, focusing on an asset-light co-lending model with banks and other NBFCs. This move aims to complement its existing lending services by allowing direct credit origination, offering greater flexibility in product development and faster market execution. MobiKwik aims to disburse ₹5,000 crore in loans over the next three to four years for consumers and MSMEs.

मोबिक्विक की सब्सिडियरी, मोबिक्विक फाइनेंशियल सर्विसेज प्राइवेट लिमिटेड को आरबीआई से नॉन-बैंकिंग फाइनेंशियल कंपनी (एनबीएफसी) के तौर पर काम करने का सर्टिफिकेट ऑफ रजिस्ट्रेशन मिल गया है। कंपनी अगले तीन से छह महीने में काम शुरू करने की योजना बना रही है। यह बैंकों और दूसरी एनबीएफसी के साथ मिलकर एसेट-लाइट को-लेंडिंग मॉडल पर फोकस करेगी। इस कदम से कंपनी को मौजूदा लेंडिंग सेवाओं को और बेहतर बनाने में मदद मिलेगी, जिससे वह सीधे क्रेडिट दे सकेगी। इससे प्रोडक्ट डेवलपमेंट में ज्यादा फ्लेक्सिबिलिटी मिलेगी और मार्केट में तेजी से काम हो सकेगा। मोबिक्विक का लक्ष्य अगले तीन से चार सालों में ग्राहकों और एमएसएमई के लिए ₹5,000 करोड़ का लोन बांटना है।
