Syrians View Israel as Biggest Regional Threat, Iran Second: New Survey

A recent nationwide survey reveals that most Syrians perceive Israel as the primary threat to their country and the region, with Iran ranking a distant second. The poll found 61 percent of respondents identified Israel as the main threat, compared to 20 percent for Iran. Furthermore, 97 percent of Syrians believe Israel threatens the Middle East's security and stability, an increase from the previous year. The survey also indicated growing opposition to recognising Israel and a desire for the return of the occupied Golan Heights.

एक नए राष्ट्रव्यापी सर्वे से पता चला है कि ज़्यादातर सीरियाई लोग इज़राइल को अपने देश और क्षेत्र के लिए सबसे बड़ा ख़तरा मानते हैं, जबकि ईरान दूसरे नंबर पर है। इस पोल में 61 प्रतिशत लोगों ने इज़राइल को मुख्य ख़तरा बताया, वहीं 20 प्रतिशत लोगों ने ईरान को। इसके अलावा, 97 प्रतिशत सीरियाई लोगों का मानना है कि इज़राइल मध्य पूर्व की सुरक्षा और स्थिरता के लिए ख़तरा है, जो पिछले साल से ज़्यादा है। सर्वे में यह भी सामने आया कि इज़राइल को मान्यता देने का विरोध बढ़ रहा है और वे कब्ज़े वाले गोलान हाइट्स की वापसी चाहते हैं।
