Travel Firm Fined Rs 5.43 Lakh For Mis-selling

A Delhi consumer commission has ordered a travel company to refund Rs 5.43 lakh to a family. The family had booked tickets for Rs 5.43 lakh and were assured free rescheduling. However, the company later demanded an additional Rs 2.98 lakh to change flight dates. The commission found the company guilty of mis-selling and unfair trade practices. It also awarded Rs 30,000 compensation and Rs 20,000 for litigation expenses.
