R&B artist Chris Brown has avoided jail after pleading guilty to affray charges stemming from a February 2023 nightclub incident in London. He received an eight-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, for repeatedly striking music producer Abe Diaw with a tequila bottle. The judge warned Brown that his fame does not exempt him from the law. Brown's vocal coach also received a suspended sentence for his role in the altercation. The singer, who was initially detained, was later released on bail after posting a £5 million security deposit.
