Dungarpur Police Bust Counterfeit Currency Racket, Seize Notes Worth Nearly Rs 5 Lakh

Police in Dungarpur have arrested two individuals and seized counterfeit Rs 500 notes with a face value of Rs 4,95,500. The operation also recovered a laptop and a colour printer used in the printing process. The accused reportedly learned to create the fake currency from social media and had been operating for about 8 to 10 days. A third suspect managed to escape during the raid. Authorities are investigating the full extent of the racket, including the source of the special paper and the intended distribution of the counterfeit money.

डूंगरपुर पुलिस ने दो लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है और 4,95,500 रुपये के नकली 500 रुपये के नोट जब्त किए हैं। इस कार्रवाई में नकली नोट छापने में इस्तेमाल किया गया एक लैपटॉप और एक कलर प्रिंटर भी बरामद हुआ है। आरोपियों ने कथित तौर पर सोशल मीडिया से नकली नोट बनाना सीखा था और वे करीब 8 से 10 दिनों से यह काम कर रहे थे। छापेमारी के दौरान एक तीसरा संदिग्ध भागने में सफल रहा। अधिकारी नकली नोटों के रैकेट की पूरी हद का पता लगाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं, जिसमें खास कागज का स्रोत और नकली नोटों के वितरण का इरादा शामिल है।
