MG University Staff Protest VC's Autocratic Style, Demand Policy Changes

Employees of MG University staged a protest demanding an end to the Vice-Chancellor's autocratic functioning and a rollback of increased sitting fees for syndicate members. They also called for experienced officials to rectify the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme and address the ongoing academic and administrative crisis. CPI(M) leader P. Rajeeve urged the Kerala government to withdraw measures aligning the state's higher education with Union government policies. The association seeks quicker decision-making on pending files by the Vice-Chancellor.

एमजी यूनिवर्सिटी के कर्मचारियों ने वाइस चांसलर के तानाशाही कामकाज को खत्म करने और सिंडिकेट सदस्यों के लिए बढ़ी हुई बैठक फीस को वापस लेने की मांग को लेकर विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। उन्होंने फोर-ईयर अंडरग्रेजुएट प्रोग्राम को ठीक करने और चल रहे अकादमिक और प्रशासनिक संकट को दूर करने के लिए अनुभवी अधिकारियों को बुलाने का भी आह्वान किया। सीपीआई(एम) नेता पी. राजीव ने केरल सरकार से राज्य की उच्च शिक्षा को केंद्र सरकार की नीतियों के साथ संरेखित करने वाले उपायों को वापस लेने का आग्रह किया। एसोसिएशन वाइस चांसलर द्वारा लंबित फाइलों पर त्वरित निर्णय लेने की मांग करता है।
