China's Communist Party has expelled two senior generals, Zhang Youxia and Liu Zhenli, from the party and military for economic wrongdoing and serious violations of discipline. Both were accused of disloyalty, corruption, and dereliction of duty, with their political and economic misconduct described as intertwined. This action is part of President Xi Jinping's ongoing anti-corruption campaign targeting the Chinese military, which has seen numerous high-ranking officials removed since 2013.
