Hyena Gives Birth To Two Cubs At Zoo

A hyena has given birth to two cubs at the Thiruvananthapuram Zoo, zoo officials announced on Sunday. Zoo wardens observed the mother hyena nursing the pups last week. The male hyena was relocated, and the mother and cubs were quarantined for close observation. This follows an animal exchange in 2024 between Thiruvananthapuram Zoo and Shivamogga Zoological Park in Karnataka, which involved several species including hyenas, jackals, and crocodiles.

तिरुवनंतपुरम चिड़ियाघर में एक लकड़बग्घे ने दो शावकों को जन्म दिया है। चिड़ियाघर के अधिकारियों ने रविवार को यह जानकारी दी। पिछले हफ्ते ही कर्मचारियों ने मां लकड़बग्घे को बच्चों को दूध पिलाते देखा था। नर लकड़बग्घे को कहीं और भेज दिया गया है, और मां व बच्चों को निगरानी के लिए अलग रखा गया है। यह सब 2024 में तिरुवनंतपुरम और कर्नाटक के शिवमोग्गा जूलॉजिकल पार्क के बीच हुए जानवरों की अदला-बदली के बाद हुआ है।
