Appearing before a Supreme Court bench, Sibal highlighted the closure of 57 metro stations, cancelled trains, and the inability of citizens to move freely. He questioned the drastic measures, stating that people cannot move anywhere and asking what was happening in the country.

वरिष्ठ वकील कपिल सिब्बल ने कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) द्वारा प्रस्तावित विरोध प्रदर्शन से पहले दिल्ली में लगाई गई अभूतपूर्व पाबंदियों पर कड़ा ऐतराज जताया। सुप्रीम कोर्ट की एक बेंच के समक्ष पेश होते हुए, सिब्बल ने 57 मेट्रो स्टेशनों के बंद होने, रद्द की गई ट्रेनों और नागरिकों की स्वतंत्र रूप से घूमने में असमर्थता पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने इन कठोर उपायों पर सवाल उठाया और कहा कि लोग कहीं भी नहीं जा पा रहे हैं और पूछा कि देश में क्या हो रहा है।
