Mizoram Among States With Best Status For Women, Says Gauhati HC Judge

Gauhati High Court additional judge Justice Helen Dawngliani stated that Mizoram is among Indian states where women hold the best status, though improvements are still needed. She spoke at a women-centric laws program in Aizawl, emphasizing the importance of legal awareness for everyone. Justice Dawngliani highlighted that women are crucial pillars of society and urged them to understand their rights and responsibilities. The event also featured discussions on marriage, inheritance, and cybercrime protection for women.

गुवाहाटी हाईकोर्ट की अतिरिक्त जज जस्टिस हेलेन डांगलियानी ने कहा कि मिजोरम उन भारतीय राज्यों में से एक है जहाँ महिलाओं की स्थिति सबसे अच्छी है, हालाँकि अभी भी सुधार की ज़रूरत है। उन्होंने आइज़ोल में महिला-केंद्रित कानूनों के एक कार्यक्रम में बात की और सभी के लिए कानूनी जागरूकता के महत्व पर ज़ोर दिया। जस्टिस डांगलियानी ने कहा कि महिलाएँ समाज के महत्वपूर्ण स्तंभ हैं और उन्होंने महिलाओं से अपने अधिकारों और ज़िम्मेदारियों को समझने का आग्रह किया। इस कार्यक्रम में महिलाओं के लिए विवाह, विरासत और साइबर अपराध से सुरक्षा पर भी चर्चा हुई।
