The Safdarjung observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 21 degrees Celsius, three degrees below the seasonal average. The Delhi Ridge area recorded the lowest temperature at 16.8 degrees Celsius, seven degrees below normal. This unusual weather was attributed to a low-pressure system and a western disturbance, leading to cloud cover, rain, and strong northeasterly winds. The cold snap prompted residents to seek warmth, with many feeling it was like December.
