Allahabad HC Flags Listing Lapses In MP-MLA Cases; Orders Portal Upgrades

The Allahabad high court has raised concerns over improper listing practices delaying high-priority criminal cases involving MPs and MLAs. A division bench noted that cases are often placed before non-designated benches or pushed down the cause list, effectively stalling proceedings. To improve oversight, the court has directed upgrades to its monitoring portal, including stage-wise tracking and color-coded indicators.

इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट ने सांसदों और विधायकों से जुड़े हाई-प्रायोरिटी क्रिमिनल मामलों में देरी करने वाली अनुचित लिस्टिंग प्रथाओं पर चिंता जताई है। एक डिवीजन बेंच ने देखा कि मामले अक्सर गैर-निर्दिष्ट बेंचों के सामने रखे जाते हैं या कॉज लिस्ट में नीचे धकेल दिए जाते हैं, जिससे कार्यवाही प्रभावी ढंग से रुक जाती है। निगरानी में सुधार के लिए, अदालत ने अपने मॉनिटरिंग पोर्टल के अपग्रेड का निर्देश दिया है, जिसमें स्टेज-वाइज ट्रैकिंग और कलर-कोडेड इंडिकेटर शामिल हैं।
