Uttar Pradesh experienced its monsoon season for 95 days, with rainfall exceeding the average by 8%. The monsoon arrived 12 days late and departed two days earlier than usual. Despite the delayed arrival and early departure, the state recorded 802.9 mm of rain, surpassing its long-term average of 746.2 mm. Western Uttar Pradesh saw a significant 16% increase in rainfall compared to its average, while eastern Uttar Pradesh recorded only a 2% increase. Chitrakoot district received the highest rainfall in the state.
