Delhi Court Extends Stay Outside India For US National, 6 Ukrainians

A Delhi court has extended the permission for US national Matthew VanDyke and six Ukrainian nationals to stay outside India until February 24 next year. The seven were arrested in March by the NIA for allegedly training ethnic armed groups in Myanmar. The NIA requested more time for investigation, and the court granted the extension. VanDyke returned to India for the hearing after being allowed to visit his home country, while the Ukrainian nationals have not yet returned.

एक दिल्ली कोर्ट ने अमेरिकी नागरिक मैथ्यू वैनडाइक और छह यूक्रेनी नागरिकों को अगले साल 24 फरवरी तक भारत से बाहर रहने की इजाज़त बढ़ा दी है। इन सातों को मार्च में NIA ने म्यांमार में जातीय सशस्त्र समूहों को ट्रेनिंग देने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया था। NIA ने जांच के लिए और समय मांगा था, और कोर्ट ने यह मोहलत दे दी। वैनडाइक को अपने देश जाने की इजाज़त मिलने के बाद सुनवाई के लिए भारत लौटा था, जबकि यूक्रेनी नागरिक अभी तक नहीं लौटे हैं।
