French President Emmanuel Macron has secured commitments for an additional 200,000 tonnes of diesel per month from the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. The Elysee Palace announced these deals as part of Macron's three-day Gulf tour, which includes stops in Qatar and Kuwait. These agreements aim to alleviate soaring fuel prices in France, which have been exacerbated by high energy costs due to the US-Iran war. The UAE committed to 100,000 tonnes monthly, with Bahrain providing another 100,000 tonnes.
