A cycling event held at Sinhagad fort on Sunday, October 25, has drawn criticism after videos showed participants riding down historic stone steps. The forest department, which granted permission for the event, clarified that its approval was limited to the hill and trekking route, not the fort premises or steps. The state archaeology department confirmed it did not grant any permission for the event.
