Delhi LG Orders Uniform Parking Rates Across City

Delhi's Lieutenant Governor, Tarunjit Singh Sandhu, has directed the implementation of uniform parking rates across all civic and transport agencies in the national capital. This move aims to end the confusion and inconvenience caused by varying charges levied by different bodies like MCD, NDMC, and DMRC. A centralized uniform parking authority structure will be developed for Delhi. The plan also includes joint enforcement teams to tackle illegal parking and integrating Resident Welfare Associations. Additionally, the LG has called for exploring EV charging points and high-tech payment systems at parking sites.
