CPI(M) कोझिकोड जिला सचिवालय ने UDF के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन का आह्वान किया है। पार्टी का आरोप है कि UDF पुलिस का इस्तेमाल करके झूठे केसों में SFI नेताओं को फंसा रही है। पार्टी का कहना है कि छात्र संघ चुनावों में SFI की हालिया जीत से UDF हताश है। CPI(M) नेताओं का आरोप है कि चुनावों के बाद MSF और MYL कार्यकर्ताओं ने SFI नेताओं पर हमला करने की कोशिश की थी। पार्टी का कहना है कि हंगामा करने वालों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करने के बजाय, पुलिस कथित तौर पर निर्दोष छात्रों को फंसा रही है। CPI(M) ने चेतावनी दी है कि अगर डराने-धमकाने का सिलसिला जारी रहा तो और विरोध प्रदर्शन किए जाएंगे।
