Telangana Teacher Flees With Crores, Duped Locals

A government teacher from Suryapet district in Telangana, Banoth Raju, is accused of absconding with crores of rupees. Locals allege he operated a fraudulent chit fund and daily collection scheme for about a decade, promising higher returns than banks. Farmers, police personnel, and labourers were among those who invested. After Raju suddenly disappeared, victims reported the matter to the Suryapet district SP, demanding action and the recovery of their money. Police are currently searching for the absconding teacher.

तेलंगाना के सूर्यपेट जिले के सरकारी टीचर, बनोत राजू पर करोड़ों रुपये लेकर भागने का आरोप है। स्थानीय लोगों का आरोप है कि उसने करीब एक दशक तक एक धोखाधड़ी वाली चिट फंड और दैनिक संग्रह योजना चलाई, जिसमें बैंकों से ज़्यादा रिटर्न का वादा किया गया था। किसानों, पुलिसकर्मियों और मजदूरों ने भी इसमें पैसा लगाया था। राजू के अचानक गायब होने के बाद, पीड़ितों ने सूर्यपेट जिले के SP से संपर्क किया और कार्रवाई और पैसे की वापसी की मांग की। पुलिस फिलहाल फरार टीचर की तलाश कर रही है।
