Supreme Court Panel Probe Plea Filed

A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking the reconstitution of a committee formed to investigate violence during Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protests. The five-member panel, headed by retired Justice R Subhash Reddy, was constituted on August 18. It is tasked with probing allegations of police excesses against protestors and counter-allegations of injuries.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट में एक याचिका दायर की गई है। इसमें कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) के विरोध प्रदर्शनों के दौरान हुई हिंसा की जांच के लिए बनी समिति को फिर से गठित करने की मांग की गई है। रिटायर्ड जस्टिस आर. सुभाष रेड्डी की अध्यक्षता वाली पांच सदस्यीय समिति 18 अगस्त को बनाई गई थी। इस समिति का काम प्रदर्शनकारियों के खिलाफ पुलिस की ज्यादतियों और चोट लगने के आरोपों की जांच करना है।
