Business Standard · india

The Supreme Court has directed all states and Union Territories to allocate funds for essential facilities like bar rooms and washrooms for women advocates in district and taluk courts. A bench, including the Chief Justice, expressed strong disapproval of the lack of these amenities, emphasizing they must be provided regardless of the number of women practicing. The court stressed that ensuring women lawyers can practice effectively, safely, and on equal terms is a mandate.
