China stated its readiness to collaborate with India on economic and trade concerns, following Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's criticism of Beijing's market access restrictions. Sitharaman highlighted these barriers as a primary driver of India's widening trade deficit with China, which reached $105.93 billion from January to September. She noted that non-tariff barriers, including phytosanitary measures, have persistently hindered Indian goods like medicines and perishables from entering the Chinese market.
