Yemen's internationally recognised government forces reported killing or wounding 1,540 Houthi rebels in nearly 500 military operations over the past 24 hours. Military spokesman Colonel Majed Abdullah al-Nazili stated that warplanes, drones, artillery, and missiles were used to target Houthi positions across Yemen. Most casualties occurred in Taiz governorate, where operations reportedly halted a Houthi advance. The government also closed the al-Houban crossing in Taiz due to security concerns and Houthi infiltration attempts, impacting a vital civilian connection between opposing territories.
