Mehul Choksi, Wife Priti Choksi Face Non-Bailable Warrants In Gitanjali Jewellery Case

A special court has issued non-bailable warrants against fugitive businessman Mehul Choksi and his wife Priti Choksi in a case related to Gitanjali Jewellery Retail Ltd. The prosecution initiated the action after a regulatory probe into the company's promotional schemes. Fresh warrants are to be submitted through the Ministry of External Affairs to locate the couple abroad. An administrative omission by court staff had previously prevented a warrant from being issued against Priti Choksi. The court adjourned the matter for an execution report on the warrants.

एक विशेष अदालत ने भगोड़े व्यवसायी मेहुल चोकसी और उनकी पत्नी प्रीति चोकसी के खिलाफ गीतांजलि ज्वेलरी रिटेल लिमिटेड से जुड़े एक मामले में गैर-जमानती वारंट जारी किए हैं। अभियोजन ने कंपनी की प्रचार योजनाओं की नियामक जांच के बाद यह कार्रवाई शुरू की। दंपति को विदेश में खोजने के लिए विदेश मंत्रालय के माध्यम से नए वारंट जमा किए जाने हैं। अदालत के कर्मचारियों द्वारा एक प्रशासनिक चूक के कारण पहले प्रीति चोकसी के खिलाफ वारंट जारी नहीं हो पाया था। अदालत ने वारंट पर निष्पादन रिपोर्ट के लिए मामले को स्थगित कर दिया।
