Supreme Court Questions BCCI on Sports Governance Act

The Supreme Court has asked the BCCI and its state associations to clarify their stance on the National Sports Governance Act (NSGA). This comes amid disputes involving state cricket bodies. The court questioned why office-bearer service terms shouldn't be governed by the NSGA. The BCCI argues cricket isn't a designated sport under the Act, as it hasn't been notified by the Central Government.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने BCCI और राज्य संघों से National Sports Governance Act (NSGA) पर अपना पक्ष साफ करने को कहा है। यह मामला राज्य क्रिकेट निकायों से जुड़े विवादों के बीच आया है। कोर्ट ने पूछा कि पदाधिकारियों के कार्यकाल NSGA के तहत क्यों न हों। BCCI का कहना है कि क्रिकेट इस एक्ट के तहत सूचीबद्ध खेल नहीं है, क्योंकि केंद्र सरकार ने इसे अधिसूचित नहीं किया है।
