Andhra Junior Doctors Reject 3.5% Stipend Hike Order

Andhra Pradesh has fixed a 3.5% annual stipend hike for junior doctors from January 1, 2027, through a Government Order issued on September 21, 2026. For the current year, a 10% hike was set for interns and 5% for postgraduate students. The Andhra Pradesh Junior Doctors’ Association (APJUDA) has rejected this order, deeming the revision unilateral and the exclusion of senior residents unjust.

आंध्र प्रदेश सरकार ने 21 सितंबर 2026 को एक सरकारी आदेश जारी कर जूनियर डॉक्टरों के लिए 1 जनवरी 2027 से सालाना 3.5% स्टाइपेंड बढ़ाने का फैसला किया है। इस साल इंटर्न के लिए 10% और पोस्टग्रेजुएट छात्रों के लिए 5% बढ़ोतरी तय की गई थी। आंध्र प्रदेश जूनियर डॉक्टर्स एसोसिएशन (APJUDA) ने इस आदेश को एकतरफा बताते हुए खारिज कर दिया है और सीनियर रेजिडेंट्स को शामिल न करने को अन्यायपूर्ण बताया है।
