Jeep's India-Focused Midsize SUV To Be Built On Tata Sierra Platform

Jeep is developing a new midsize SUV for the Indian market, codenamed JLJ. This upcoming model will be Jeep's third vehicle manufactured in India, following the Compass and Meridian. The SUV will be based on the ARGOS platform, which also underpins the Tata Sierra. While sharing the platform, the new Jeep SUV is expected to feature distinct styling and engineering, differentiating it from a simple rebadged version of the Sierra. Jeep is planning four new models for India.
