Netaji's grandnephew demands apology over 'Fauzi' film's historical distortions

Bose explained Netaji approached Hitler for India's independence, meeting him as an equal, and demanded the director apologize for sensationalizing the event and diminishing Netaji's stature. The film's trailer has drawn criticism for allegedly misrepresenting Netaji's historical standing.

नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र बोस के पर-भतीजे चंद्र कुमार बोस ने आगामी फिल्म 'फौजी' पर कड़ा आपत्ति जताई है। उन्होंने फिल्म के निर्देशक पर नेताजी की एडॉल्फ हिटलर से मुलाकात के ऐतिहासिक तथ्यों को तोड़ने-मरोड़ने का आरोप लगाया है। उन्होंने कहा कि फिल्म निर्माताओं को रचनात्मक स्वतंत्रता है, लेकिन यह ऐतिहासिक सटीकता पर हावी नहीं होनी चाहिए। उन्होंने राष्ट्रीय नायकों के बारे में तथ्यात्मक विकृतियों को अपराध बताया। बोस ने समझाया कि नेताजी ने भारत की आजादी के लिए हिटलर से संपर्क किया था, उनसे बराबरी के नाते मुलाकात की थी, और निर्देशक से इस घटना को सनसनीखेज बनाने और नेताजी की प्रतिष्ठा को कम करने के लिए माफी की मांग की है।
