Mysuru Royal Clarifies Jamboo Savari Shift Suggestion Was Not Final

Pramoda Devi Wadiyar of the Mysuru erstwhile royal family clarified that her proposal to shift the Jamboo Savari from Vijayadashami to Rathothsava day was merely a suggestion. She stated that the final decision rests with the State government and her aim was to garner public support, not offend officials. Ms. Wadiyar also highlighted administrative lapses, including poor inter-departmental coordination and police high-handedness, which disrupted traditional rituals.
