The Hindu · india

Andhra Pradesh has intensified surveillance at three airports, Bhogapuram, Vijayawada, and Tirupati, as a precautionary measure against the spread of Ebola. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare held a video conference on November 5 to review preparedness with state governments. The state has readied isolation beds in five government hospitals, along with medical personnel and equipment. Medical teams are screening passengers from affected countries, and similar arrangements are in place at ports. A mock drill is scheduled for November 12 to assess readiness.
