Waste Dumping Resumes at Mandai Khurd After Written Pact With Hazaribag Villagers

Waste lifting to the Mandai Khurd dumping yard resumed on Wednesday after villagers and the municipal corporation reached a written agreement. Villagers had halted garbage vehicles, causing waste to accumulate in public areas. The pact includes developing an alternative route for garbage trucks, establishing a waste processing plant by January 2027, and controlling foul odours. The corporation also agreed to repair the existing road and provide priority employment to locals at the plant. Agitation will resume if promises are not met.

ग्रामीणों और नगर निगम के बीच लिखित समझौता होने के बाद बुधवार को मंडई खुर्द डंपिंग यार्ड में कचरा ले जाना फिर से शुरू हो गया। ग्रामीणों ने कचरा गाड़ियों को रोक दिया था, जिससे सार्वजनिक जगहों पर कचरा जमा हो गया था। समझौते में कचरा ट्रकों के लिए वैकल्पिक मार्ग विकसित करना, जनवरी 2027 तक एक कचरा प्रसंस्करण संयंत्र स्थापित करना और दुर्गंध को नियंत्रित करना शामिल है। निगम ने मौजूदा सड़क की मरम्मत करने और संयंत्र में स्थानीय लोगों को प्राथमिकता से रोजगार देने पर भी सहमति जताई है। वादे पूरे न होने पर आंदोलन फिर से शुरू होगा।
