Delhi Police ACP Suspended Amidst Protest Over Lawyer Confrontation Demands

Delhi Police ACP Manasvi Vashishta, who led a protest by around 500 personnel, has been suspended following the demonstration. The protesting officers presented five demands, including a grievance redressal committee and a standard operating procedure (SOP) for dealing with lawyer confrontations. This action follows the transfer of Vashishta and an SHO after lawyers initiated a strike over an assault case. The protest, lasting over 10 hours, saw a delegation meet senior officers to discuss the escalating tensions between the police and the legal fraternity.
