Zimbabwe Captain Slams Player Complacency After Series Loss

Times of India · sports

Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza expressed disappointment with his teammates' "complacency" following a 19-run defeat to Afghanistan in the second T20I. Despite reducing Afghanistan to 5 for 4, some players allegedly became complacent, assuming a low total. Afghanistan recovered to score 221, thanks to Azmatullah Omarzai's 116 and Ijaz Ahmad's 52. Raza's unbeaten 106 was insufficient to prevent Zimbabwe from falling 2-0 behind in the series. He emphasized the need for mental strength and focus until the final ball.
