Andhra CM Alerts Officials on Cyclone Threat in Bay of Bengal

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to remain alert and take precautionary measures due to a developing cyclone in the Bay of Bengal. The cyclone is expected to hit the North Andhra Pradesh coast on October 28, with red warnings for extremely heavy rain on October 27 and 28. He emphasized effective use of rainfall for irrigation, completion of 36 priority irrigation projects by December 2028, and no compromise on technical standards for the Polavaram project.

आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री एन. चंद्रबाबू नायडू ने अधिकारियों को बंगाल की खाड़ी में विकसित हो रहे चक्रवात के कारण सतर्क रहने और एहतियाती उपाय करने का निर्देश दिया है। यह चक्रवात 28 अक्टूबर को उत्तरी आंध्र प्रदेश के तट से टकराने की उम्मीद है, जिसमें 27 और 28 अक्टूबर को अत्यधिक भारी बारिश के लिए रेड अलर्ट जारी किया गया है। उन्होंने सिंचाई के लिए वर्षा का प्रभावी उपयोग, दिसंबर 2028 तक 36 प्राथमिकता वाली सिंचाई परियोजनाओं को पूरा करने और पोलावरम परियोजना के लिए तकनीकी मानकों पर कोई समझौता न करने पर जोर दिया।
