CAG: 89% Railway Stations Lack Basic Amenities

A recent audit by the CAG has revealed a significant deficiency in basic amenities across Indian railway stations. Out of 512 stations audited, a staggering 458 were found to be lacking in essential facilities. These deficiencies include crucial elements like fans, water coolers, drinking water taps, urinals, seating, platform shelters, latrines, and clocks, impacting passenger comfort and convenience nationwide.

भारतीय रेलवे स्टेशनों पर बुनियादी सुविधाओं की भारी कमी पाई गई है। CAG की हालिया ऑडिट में 512 में से 458 स्टेशनों में पंखे, पानी के कूलर, पीने के पानी के नल, मूत्रालय, बैठने की जगह, प्लेटफॉर्म शेल्टर, शौचालय और घड़ियों जैसी ज़रूरी चीज़ों की कमी मिली। इससे पूरे देश में यात्रियों को परेशानी हो रही है।
