1,694kg Suspected Adulterated Ghee Seized In Surat Ahead Of Festive Season

Utran police in Surat seized 1,694kg of suspected adulterated ghee and raw materials worth Rs 18.21 lakh from a warehouse in the Abrama area. The raid, conducted ahead of the Navratri-Diwali festive season, followed a tip-off about the manufacturing and sale of fake ghee. Three individuals, identified as Sunny Modi, Kishan Modi, and Kalpesh Modi, have been arrested in connection with the case. Food safety officials were involved in the operation, confiscating the seized materials and initiating legal proceedings against the accused for suspected food adulteration.

सूरत में उत्राण पुलिस ने अब्रामा इलाके के एक गोदाम से 18.21 लाख रुपये के नकली घी और कच्चे माल के 1,694 किलो संदिग्ध मिलावटी घी को जब्त किया है। नवरात्रि-दिवाली त्योहारी सीजन से पहले हुई यह छापेमारी नकली घी के निर्माण और बिक्री की सूचना के बाद की गई थी। इस मामले में सनी मोदी, किशन मोदी और कल्पेश मोदी नाम के तीन लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। खाद्य सुरक्षा अधिकारियों ने इस कार्रवाई में हिस्सा लिया, जब्त की गई सामग्री को जब्त कर लिया और मिलावट के संदेह में आरोपियों के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई शुरू की।
