Congress MP Shashi Tharoor congratulated Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on his historic victory in Brazil's presidential election, calling it a message of the people's strength. Tharoor believes Lula's return, a champion of workers and the poor, can energize the fight for social justice and poverty reduction. This outcome is seen as a significant setback for political factions close to former US President Donald Trump, who had supported Lula's opponent. Tharoor noted the win strengthens Brazil's independent foreign policy and the idea of a multipolar world.
