Ferry Sinks North of Vanuatu, Over 30 Missing

A passenger ferry has sunk north of Vanuatu, with more than 30 people now missing. Over 40 individuals were on board the vessel when it went down. Authorities have confirmed one fatality and 15 successful rescues so far, with search operations ongoing. The prime minister's office indicated the tragedy might stem from the crew disregarding strong wind warnings and overloading the ferry, leading to the disaster at sea.
